The 16 pin side connects directly to the TCM connector on the transmission, located on the transmission housing itselfnot through the vehicle's OBD2 port. This cable is designed for GM 6L45, 6L50, 6L80, and 6L90 automatic transmissions. The dedicated TCM connection exists because
